1. Home Button
The iPhone X does not have a home button; instead, users when navigating through apps swipe left or right and close them by swiping from the bottom going up. The Samsung s8 uses an invisible, pressure sensitive home button. With the Samsung s8, you swipe across the curved edges to bring up menus and apps shortcuts.
2. Processor Speed
When it comes to processor speed, you will realize that the iPhone uses Apple’s new A11 Bionic chipset. Being a six core one, it is probably apple’s fastest chipset. The Samsung, on the other hand, uses a Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset.
3. Screen Resolution
When it comes to the screens, the Samsung s8 comes in a super AMOLED screen with a higher resolution of 2960 X 1440 pixels. The iPhone X has an OLED screen with a resolution of 2436 X 1125 pixels. Samsung s8 has an edge here with higher brightness. The Samsung also has a higher screen to body ratio.
4. Face ID & Fingerprint
The Samsung s8 has a headphone jack which lacks in the iPhone X. the iPhone went all in on their face ID; the Samsung s8 has both a face ID and fingerprint scanner.
5. IP67 vs IP68
The phone goes head to head when it comes to water and dust resistance. The iPhone has IP67 while the Samsung s8 has IP68; this gives the Samsung a slight edge. It can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
When it comes to storage, the iPhone X comes in both 65 GB and 256 GB while the Samsung s8 only has 65GB size. The iPhone X runs on iOS 11 while the Samsung Galaxy s8 runs on the Android Nougat.
Information on the iPhone battery size is not yet available, but rumors say that it can last up to 2 hours longer than the iPhone 7. The Samsung galaxy s8 has a 3,000mAh battery. Both phones support wireless charging.
